Tami's Picks for MDSM#71!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the challenge this week!  I loved seeing all the creative ways you incorporated an ombre look into your pages.

Here are the top picks for this week.

Sue

Sue's card is so creative!  I love how she used a drop shadow from a circle punch to make a soft spiral ombre look.  And, I love the circle of sequins in the middle. This just turned out gorgeous!!!  Beautiful, beautiful, card.  Great job Sue.  ~ Tami

I love the subtle Smoky Slate ombre background of this page, and the way Hayley also created an ombre effect with the titles on the right.  The circle words are a pretty touch too.  This whole page is just elegant and so well designed!  ~  Tami

Challenge Guidelines:
  • Please create a new MDS project for the current challenge.
  • Provide a link back to MDS Monday or use the Challenge Graphic above within your post.

Joan's Picks for MDSM#70!

Thanks to everyone who played along with MDSM#70.  I enjoyed seeing how everyone used the circles….or shapes!

Here are the top picks for this week.

I love how Carol used dotted paper in her background and I love the colours she chose.  My favourite feature of her page is how it looks like her granddaughter is leaning out of the lower circle.  Congrats, Carol. ~ Joan

Jean is joining us for the first time at MDS Monday and I think she's done a wonderful job with this page.  I am so drawn to that sunshiny face!  I love how she's stretched the circles…and how the top "title" circle is the reverse of the vertical strip.  Thanks for joining us, Jean, and keep up the great work. ~ Joan

See you all tomorrow for a brand new layout from Tami!

MDSM70 Joan's going in circles!!

Hi everyone, it's Joan here with this round of MDS Monday….and yes, the pun is intended.  I've got lots of circles happening on my sketch, but you could substitute any shape that works for you…..just layering a variety of sizes and putting an image in the largest ones.  The wonderful thing about MDS pages is you can have as many layers as you like and not have to worry about bulkiness….if that's a word.  Have fun with it - we're looking forward to seeing what you create!

Challenge Guidelines:
  • Please create a new MDS project for the current challenge.
  • Provide a link back to MDS Monday or use the Challenge Graphic above within your post.
  • Link directly to your Post for this challenge, not your entire blog. (So we can find your project)
  • You can create a Card, Scrap Page or 3-D Object with the Sketch.
  • Have fun, we can't wait to see what you create!

MDSM69 It's all about Overlays!

Cindy here and I've got a sketch for you that will challenge you to use those "overlays" that you might have neglected to use lately.  Use more than one "overlay" stamp image for the background, then add some splatter, sequins and a frame of some sort to your page. If you're feeling really ambitious, let us see you make this into a card using the same elements!

Tara's Picks for MDSM#68!

Thank you to all who played along with MDS Monday challenge #68! I loved seeing all the variations of the multiple photo boxes - some using each photo box individually and some using it as a group photo.

It's time to check out the top picks for this week!

I love Lorrie's fun map background and the journaling at the top of the page. The photos are so spectacular, and her page just matches so perfectly. Congratulations, Lorrie! ~Tara

Wendie's natural elements and soft background are the perfect accents to the wonderful moment she has captured in her photo. Congratulations, Wendie! ~Tara

See you all tomorrow for a brand new challenge!

MDSM68 Cha Cha Cha Changes!!

Welcome to another week at MDS Monday! Tara here as your hostess this week, and I've got a sketch for you that would be great either as a scrap layout with some photos going across, OR a card with various DSP, accents, embellishments. If you're feeling ambitious, you can make and share a page AND a card!

We also want to mention that we have made a few changes with our challenges here at MDS Monday. Starting this week all of our challenges be open for one week instead of two. We are discontinuing our Card Sketch challenges, but all of our DT projects will feature cards and scrap layouts and we would like you to feel free to use the sketch for either as well. Now lets see this week's challenge!

Challenge Guidelines:
  • Please create a new MDS project for the current challenge.
  • Provide a link back to MDS Monday or use the Challenge Graphic above within your post.
  • Link directly to your Post for this challenge, not your entire blog. (So we can find your project)
