Hi everyone! Beth here with a card sketch for you this week.  Use the sketch to create a card or page and use the "Recolor" tool on an embellishment on your project.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.

MDSM59.. Heidi's Layering Trim!

Hi Everyone! It's Heidi, and I'm bringing you this week's page sketch challenge. I've had a page, created with traditional scrapbooking, on my digital to-do list so I can include it in the next round of photo-book printing.  Why not share it for everyone to play with?

I'd like to see some layered trim on your pages.  You could use a scallop border punch, or in my case, a string of larger circles.  What else can you think of?

Thanks to everyone who played along with the filmstrip challenge! I loved seeing all the creative, unique pages you designed, and the different ways you built your filmstrips. You are all so inspirational!!!

Shannon

Shannon designed such a beautiful page! She used a wonderful variety of pictures for her filmstrip, and she added so many little details to her background. I love the subtle layers, tape, and stitching, as well as the stamps she used to write her title. Mostly, I love the way the neutral, grungy background made her great photos stand out. Amazing job!!!

Wendie

Wendie also had an amazing page! I love the colors she selected for her background and embellishments. The flag banner, border and stitching all worked to enhance the overall look of her page, yet didn't detract from those gorgeous photos. I love the ticket/title too. Simply beautiful!!!

I love the whole peachy look to Wendie's card this week. I especially like how she changed the opacity of the plain card stock so that those wonderful shapes peaked through. The overlapping circles under her greeting are wonderful too. Great job, Wendie.

Stephanie 

I like the papers that Stephanie used for her card and how she lightened the opacity of the main sheet and kept the colours true by adding an extra layer of white behind it. I also love the little doily peaking out behind the circle which just pop off the card! Congratulates Stephanie.

MDSM57 Fun with Filmstrips!

Hi, this is Tami with a new scrapbook challenge.  I thought it would be fun to create a scrapbook page with one or multiple filmstrips.  I recently built a filmstrip for a card I made, and it came out so cute, I thought it would be a fun element for a scrapbook page!  I built my filmstrip from the Candid Frames download, but right after I designed my template, Stampin' Up! released the On Film Kit, which would work perfectly with this challenge.  Because the photos are all groups together, this technique is great for using lots of photos on a page without making the page look too cluttered.

MDS Monday Master

There were so many great projects for this challenge! It was really hard to pick my favourite! But I picked Wendie's info filled page for the Master. The freeform trails lines with the points, the states map placed one by one, the little trees placed all over and the wooden title (I forward about those wood letters!) put this page over the top! Congrats Wendie on a sketch well done! ~Cindy

I really like how Julie's page turned out. The silver and gold title are great and the pops of red behind the woodcuts really make them stand out. The soft background really draws you into the pictures and I just really like that shaped clip with the twine bow. ~Beth
