MDSM77.. Layer it up!

Welcome back to another fun challenge here at MDS Monday.. Thank you to everyone who entered our DT Call, we will be in touch with you by the end of August. Are you ready to Digital create with us? We are saying goodbye to our Design Team member Joan this week and she's closing her time out with us by Hosting the challenge this week. We want to wish her the best of Luck with her future endeavors and I want to Thank her for all of her hard work here at MDS Monday she's been with us since the beginning. So without further ado let's here from Joan.

Howdy, Howdy….it's Joan here, and it's my turn to host.  I thought I'd go for lots of layers - overlapping images, overlapping DSP and overlapping photos.  You could also include layered embellishments in a little grouping. And don't forget to use the drop shadow to help make everything pop off the page.  Most of all - have fun with all the layers!

Challenge Guidelines:
  • Please create a new MDS project for the current challenge.
  • Provide a link back to MDS Monday or use the Challenge Graphic above within your post.
  • Link directly to your Post for this challenge, not your entire blog. (So we can find your project)
  • You can create a Card, Scrap Page or 3-D Object with the Sketch.
  • The Challenge will end on Saturday Aug. 16th @ 12pm EST.
  • Have fun!
Check out what the Design Team created below with this fun Sketch.. We hope you will join us!

MDSM70 Joan's going in circles!!

Hi everyone, it's Joan here with this round of MDS Monday….and yes, the pun is intended.  I've got lots of circles happening on my sketch, but you could substitute any shape that works for you…..just layering a variety of sizes and putting an image in the largest ones.  The wonderful thing about MDS pages is you can have as many layers as you like and not have to worry about bulkiness….if that's a word.  Have fun with it - we're looking forward to seeing what you create!

  • Have fun, we can't wait to see what you create!

MDSM56 Joan's going Opaque on us!

Hi everyone, it's Joan here, with a new card sketch.  This week, along with the sketch, lets play with the opacity feature.  It can be used on any part of the sketch that works best for your creation.  You can create your own "washi tape" strips and "vellum" by changing the opacity of your element.  We'd love to see what you come up with this week.
Here's the sketch.

Be sure to read the Guidelines above, under about MDS Monday.

The challenge is open for two weeks and the Linky will close on Friday March 14th @ 11:55pm EST. We hope you will join us!

MDSM49 We're Scrapping!

Hello everyone - it's Joan here with another sketch challenge for you.  I have to admit, I went to the photo layout portion of the resource palette on MDS for some inspiration.  I don't use that area enough - and it can be a big help.

I've elongated the photo boxes to fill more space, and I think I will be grouping them and dropping in one photo.  Feel free to do the same - or to go off on your own tangent. The little stars at the bottom can be anything you desire also - the sky's the limit - pun intended…LOL! Have fun!

Be sure to read the Guidelines about under "About MDS Monday"

The challenge will end on Friday January 24th @ 11:55pm EST. We hope you will join us... Check out what the Design Team created below for some inspiration.

MDSM44.... It's feel a bit Flourish in here!!

Welcome back to MDS Monday - It's Joan here this week with a card sketch.  I love how you can make flourishes (well anything for that matter) any size that you need or want with MDS.  So my challenge to yo this week is to include some sort of curly flourish - big or small.  Here's the sketch...

Be sure to read the Guidelines about under "About MDS Monday". The Challenge is open until Friday Dec. 20th at 11:55pm EST.

And now for some inspiration from the Design Team...

MDSM37 Focus on the Title!

Welcome, everyone!  It's Joan, here, with another sketch at MDS Monday.  It's a fairly simple sketch with a number of photo boxes.  (I tend to take scads of photos at one time).  I have an added challenge for this week of adding a vertical title.  I have mine so that it is read vertically, however the other option is having the letters on top of one another.....whatever suits your project best.

Be Sure to read the Guidelines above under "About MDS Monday".

The Linky closes in 2 Weeks on Nov. 1st at 11:55pm EST ...We can't wait to see what you create! Check out what the Design Team created below!

MDSM32 Joan's got a Card Sketch!

Hey, hey, hey - welcome to a card sketch challenge this week at MDS Monday.  It's Joan here, presenting the sketch this time - and reminding you that you can use the sketch for either a card project or a scrapbook page - whichever suits your needs.  The main thing is to have fun.  I have added a challenge is to use an oversized image that exceeds the boundaries of the large space and to use a border stamp in your project this round.

Check our what our Design Team has created with the sketch and remember you have two weeks to play with the sketch and provide a link  for us to come and take a peak.  Also, be sure to read the Guidelines under "About MDS Monday".
I hope you join in the fun!
